Lee Tracy graduated from Union college in Schenectady, NY. Lee was a star of stage and screen. Following his success as Hildy Johnson on Broadway in "The Front Page," 1930, he was frequently cast in films as a fast talking crack reporter. He also played a variety of other dynamic roles in films of the 30's and 40's. He was nominated for an Oscar for his last film roll in "The best Man" 1964. He also starred in the TV series "Martin Kane-Private Eye" and appeared in many other TV programs. Lee is buried in Shavertown, Pa. where he maintained a home for many years and developed a fondness for this small country town.
