Boxer Rebellion Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. In battles against Boxer militants, hidden snipers and a Chinese cavalry charge, Gunnery Sergeant Stewart with others in his group, fought their way through the siege on Peking. For extreme gallantry in the face of the enemy he was awarded the Medal of Honor in July 1901. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
