Lora Sylvia (Potts) Ballard, age 82, Resident of Atoka OK since 1944 and former Tishomingo area resident, was born on November 30, 1912, in Johnston County OK to Arthur M. and Addie (Selby) Potts. She passed away on February 21, 1995, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Atoka at the age of 82. She married Henry H. Ballard on September 14, 1935, at Tishimingo. Lora was a retired restaurant owner. She was a member of Atoka First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Eva Hall and husband George of Atoka; grandsons George H. Hall and wife Gina, and Stephen C. Hall, all of Atoka; granddaughter Deborah Biela of Ft. Worth TX; great-grandchildren Dustin and Jennifer Biela of Ft. Worth, and Chance and Alexis Hall of Atoka; brothers Henry Potts of Citrus Heights CA, Homer Potts of Colbert OK, Oran Potts of Redlands CA, Kenneth Potts of Ft. Worth TX, and Winford Potts of Ontario CA; and sisters Juanita Hembey and Rita James of Ft. Worth TX, and Betty Butcher of Denison TX.
Lora was preceded in death by her husband in October 1972; parents; brothers Roy, Robert, and J.D. Potts, and Foyd C. Potts of Colbert OK on March 18, 1993; and sister Willie Hester.
