Roy Lee Wise, age 87 of Strawberry Plains passed away Thursday March 22, 2018.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove Piney Baptist Church, Strawberry Plains, American Legion Post 0002 Knoxville, and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Wise: parents, John Dan and Effie Wise; sister, Linda Meritte; brothers, Eugene, Dan Jr., Ridge, Lester and Jimmy Wise.
He is survived by his nephew, Billy Wayne Fox and wife, Wilma; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Piney Baptist Church, 2620 Piney Rd., New Market, TN 37820.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2 PM with Pastor Sam Grindstaff officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Burchfiel Memorial Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post # 104.
