In my research, I find land records of Robert Underwood living in Roane, Tennesse where Jonathan Underwood married. Also, I found the will of Perry Underwood and he speaks of about six other children, however, there is no mention of Jonathan, Robert, and Margaret (who were brothers and sisters). Also, in the book called: "The Underwoods of Madison County Virginia" by Ben H. Coke, there theory also is that Robert Underwood (born @ 1775 in Culpeper, Virginia and Amey Cofer born about 1775 in Madison County, Virginia) are the parents of Jonathan, Robert, and Margaret Underwod. Also, families names are passed down from generation to generation. I am still looking for more evidence. In the meantime, could you go into the "Findagrave for Robert K. Underwood" and add that Robert Underwood and Amey Cofer is the other theory. You can add to it any of this information. Hopefully, it will keep the research going on this line which is so important and perhaps facts can be found.
