George W. married Elsie Wagner on Sept. 1,1913. They had two sons: Joseph William (1916-1975) married to Betty Lehman.(Children Robert and Sandra) and James Lewis Hemingway (1918-1989) married to Nedra Cooper (1918-?)
George was an electrician in Waseca.
George W. Hemingway died on October 7,1969 probably in the Hampton, Connecticut area where his son Joseph lived.
Supposedly his body was cremated and the ashes brought to the New Richland, MN St. Peter Cemetery to be buried with his wife.
The above "obituary" was put together by Shirley Hemingway with information received from various sources. Pictures were courtesy of James Hemingway, son of George William Hemingway.
Note from Shirley Hemingway: I am looking for the grandchildren of George W. Hemingway...Robert & Sandra Hemingway. (parents Joseph & Betty Hemingway)...last known to be living in the Connecticut area.
Note from Shirley Hemingway: I have been told that there are no markers for George & Elsie Hemingway at the St. Peter Cemetery. I assume that their ashes are there, but not in a marked grave.
