Virgilee Lovene Springer was born January 25, 1921, at Navarre, KS, to Fred and Siri (Boberg) Londene. She graduated from Chapman (KS) High School.
On September 28, 1940, she was united in marriage to Orville Springer. The couple lived near Chapman until moving to the Elk City area in 1951, where they ran a farming and dairy operation. Orville preceded Virgilee in death on June 28, 1997.
Mrs. Springer was a member of the United Methodist Church in Elk City, the United Methodist Women, Gingham Aprons F.C.E., VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a 4H Leader, and active in FCE (Family and Community Education), holding many offices.

Quiet and unassuming, she went about doing good.
