William Carroll Morgan, age 93 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018.

He was a member of Meridian Baptist Church.

William was a WWII Veteran and served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army.

He was a truck driver for Mason Dixon for over 30 years and also drove for Loy Coach Lines for 10 years.

William was a car enthusiast who enjoyed NASCAR and attending races, including Talladega.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Sarah Morgan; brothers, Cecil, Bob and Fred Morgan; and sister, Esther Reed.

He is survived by his: wife of 68 years, Billie Sue Morgan; daughters, Elizabeth “Libby” Harb and husband Johnny, Linda Koontz and husband Tim; grandchildren, Maria Harb Bishop and husband Jarred, Morgan Rigney and husband Jason, and Allison Koontz; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Caleb Rigney; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Gary.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meridian Baptist Church, 6513 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920.

Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday at Meridian Baptist Church with Pastor Dana Fachman officiating.

Interment 10 AM Thursday in Meridian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday at Meridian Baptist Church.
