Mrs. Lee (Jeannette Martha Mitchel) Straley, 82, of rural Clay City died 9:15 a.m. Monday (Dec. 22, 1986) in St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Sailor Springs Christian Church. Sailor Springs. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Hosselton, Bookhout and Engelmeier Funeral Home. Clay City. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, near Clay City.
Mrs. Straley was born in Clay County, daughter of Perry and Bertha Mitchel. She was a member of Sailor Springs Christian Church. charter member of the Happy Helpers Club and Clay County Home Bureau. She married Lee Straley in 1930. He died in 1983.
Surviving are her daughter, Neva of Clay City; sister, Mrs. Earl (Lelia) Herdis of Clay City; Mrs. Harvey (Ruth) Hoard of Flora.
One brother preceded her in death.
