Eric Michael Hildebrand, 9, Clay City, was dead on arrival at the Clay County Hospital at 4:33 p.m. Saturday. The youth apparently died from injuries suffered in a bicycle accident.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Cardascio Funeral Home in Clay City with Rev. Arthur Phillips presiding. Visitation is Monday from 6-9 p.m. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery.
The youth, born in Flora on Sept. 2, 1970, was the son of Carl W. and Martha Anne (Shehorn) Hildebrand.
He was a member of the Sailor Springs Christian Church and a student in the Clay City Elementary School.
He is survived by two brothers, James D. and Jeffrey W., both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Bruce (Carla J.) Colclasure, Clay City, and Julia R., at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Hildebrand, Clay City, Willis Shehorn, Flora, and great-grandmother, Celestice McKinney, Clay City.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother.
