"Joel BRANHAM was born on 28 Aug 1835 in Eatonton, GA. He died in Jun 1922. Joel Branham, Jr. is refered to as Judge Joel Branham by Priscilla Penniston who has copied the Judge's handwritten family history, called the "Red Book", and provided it to this author. It is the sources of many of the names and birth dates here."

"The Judge's notes indicated he was married and left for "the war in Virginia" the same day (The Macon Volunteers, 2nd GA Batallion)."

He was married to Georgia Clarendon CUYLER (daughter of Telemon CUYLER and Ann Francis HAMILTON) on 20 Apr 1861 in Rome, GA.

Georgia Clarendon CUYLER was born on 1 Oct 1842 in Thistle Dale, Bartow County, GA. She died on 13 Jan 1889 in Armstrong Hotel, Rome, Ga."
