Delores J. Clickner, 86, a resident of the Newberry area since 2010 and formerly from Kalamazoo, passed away at Golden Leaves Living Center in Newberry on August 19, 2016.

She was born in Baileyville, Kansas to George and Nora E. (Crumrine) Weyer, on April 18, 1930. She was a resident of Kalamazoo from 1955 until moving to Newberry in 2010.

Dolores enjoyed baking (she was fondly known as The Cookie Lady), gardening, travelling (especially to Kansas to visit family), reading, and watching her grandchildren show horses. She was an avid Detroit Lions and U of M football fan. In her later years, she enjoyed watching golf and football on TV and doing crossword puzzles with her dear friend Lynne. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved visiting with them and hearing of the activities and accomplishments.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Lyle Weyer and sister-in-law Mildred Weyer.

Survivors include her daughters Kimberly (Mike) Paul of North Platte, NE and Terri (Raymond) Wood of Newberry; grandson Kenneth (Sarah) Russell of Southern Pine, NC, granddaughter Katelyn Russell of Williamston, MI; great-grandchildren Lily, Wyatt, and Claire Russell of Southern Pines, NC; niece Melody (Tom) Forbes of Topeka, KS, nephew Marlin Weyer of Overland Park, KS several great nieces and nephews, and her very dear friend Lynne Kalnbach.

According to her wishes cremation services have already been accorded with no public services scheduled at this time.
