Funeral service was held on Saturday at 3:30 pm at the H.A. Ostrander & Son Funeral Home for Lillie Lyon who passed away on Thursday February 18th while in her 89th year. Rev W.E. Aldworth of St. Paul's United Church was in charge, and Mrs. H.C. Brady and Mrs. J.M. Climie rendered a duet "Abide With Me". Mrs. Bruce French accompanied. Pallbearers were Bruce French, Donald Gibson, William Lambden, Bert Newman, John McCormack and Lyle Compeau and interment took place in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Mrs. Lyon was born at Summerville, S Norwich, the daughter of the late Henry and Sarah Ann Lossing. She was the last member of a family of nine, of which she was the youngest. She was one of the oldest members of St. Paul's United Church, The King's Daughters and the local WCTU organization. Surviving is one son Lester of Detroit. Her husband Frank Lyon predeceased her in 1940.
