Robert was born in Blair, Nebraska on December 5, 1930, to Harvey and Minnie (Jensen) Kuhr.

He served his country in the United States Army from 1950-1953.

He married Ruth, and they were blessed with two children. Sadly, she and their little five-year old son died in an airplane accident in 1966. At that time Robert was working for Braniff Airlines as a cargo agent, and they were living at 4038 Newport Avenue in Omaha, Nebraska.

Later, he married Barbara. They were blessed with three children.

During his life, Robert was a farmer, trucker, business owner and contractor. After living in Blair and Arlington, Nebraska, he moved to Scribner, Nebraska, where he resided before going to the Hooper, Nebraska Care Center.

Robert L. Kuhr, age 87, of Scribner, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017, surrounded by his family at Hooper Care Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marlene, first wife Ruth Kuhr and son Mitchell Kuhr.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Barbara; children: Patty Mullin (Leonard TenEyck) of Fremont, Nebraska; Melinda (Terry) Folkerts of Georgetown, Texas; Robert (Erin) Kuhr of Fremont; Kathleen (CJ) Coartney of Nickerson, Nebraska; grandchildren: Shantell, Jake, Hollie, Colby, Zach and Seth; great-grandchild Preston; much adored cat Marvin.

The family asks that memorials in Robert's name be made to the Dodge County Humane Society.

Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Dugan Funeral Chapel, 751 North Lincoln Ave., Fremont, Nebraska. Funeral service will be Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery.
