He composed more than 200 songs, including "Media Vuelta", "El Rey", "Si Nos Dejan", "El Caballo Blanco", "Gracias", "Que Te Vaya Bonito", and "Un Mundo Raro". They have been recorded by singers around the world, most notably by Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete, Luis Miguel, Lola Beltrán, Joan Manuel Serrat, and Lucha Villa. Jimenez's colorful grave has become a tourist attraction. His epitaph is the title of one of his songs, "La Vida No Vale Nada" ("Life Is Not Worth Anything"). (bio by: José L Bernabé Tronchoni)
