Glynn , 86, Marceline, formerly of Bates City died in Bates City. Services were held at New Hope Baptist Fellowship, Marceline and burial with military rites were held in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mick Hull, Jon Robinson, Dwayne Bishop, Steve Lee, Guy Dixon, and Robert Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers were Nathan Hull, Blaine McCauslin, John Oxley, and Josh Maxwell.
Glynn was born 7 Nov 1920, in Linneus, son of Milo and Alta Belle (Johns) Maxwell. He married Alain Maxine Vasos, 4 Nov 1943 in Clinton, Iowa. She preceded him in death 12 May 2005. Also preceding him were his parents and a sister, Kathleen.
Glynn was a vereran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He owned and operated Maxwell Jewelry, Marceline, for over 30 years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Fellowship, and a Marceline resident since 1960.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Freddie Lyman and Vida Maxwell, Bates City; a brother, Marlin Maxwell, Pennsylvania; a sister, Shirley M Greiner, Garnett, Kansas, five grandchildren, Robert Maxwell and Melanie Starlin, Brookfield, Micky Hull, and Marsha Robinson, Blue Springs, Melissa Bishop, Concordia; and 16 great-grandchildren.
