Death:	Oct. 12, 1941 Boston Suffolk County Massachusetts, USA
US Congressman. A graduate of Harvard University, he was admitted to the bar in 1900 and commenced practice in Lynn, Massachusetts. He served as a member of the Massachusetts State house of representatives in 1905 and 1906. In 1913, he was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-third and to the three succeeding Congresses serving until 1921. Not a candidate for reelection, he resumed law practice in Boston and Washington, D.C. In 1937, he was appointed a member of the Massachusetts Labor Relations Board and served until his death.
