US Congressman. Elected to represent Nebraska's 3rd District in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1919 to 1923. He was defeated in 1922. He also served as a District Judge in Nebraska for the 8th District from 1896 to 1900, Delegate to the Republican National Convention from Nebraska in 1912, and as Justice of the Nebraska State Supreme Court in 1925.
