Australian Musician, Songwriter and Producer. Young was a founding member of the 1960s group The Easybeats, and would later go on to produce albums for AC/DC, which featured his brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. A guitarist, he met Harry Vanda and Stevie Wright in the early '60s and formed The Easybeats, whose musical style was similar to The Beatles. He co-wrote the band's international hit 'Friday on My Mind'. After touring with bands like The Rolling Stones in the late '60s, the Easybeats broke up. In 1973, he and Vanda formed Albert Productions in Sydney with Ted Albert. The label emerged as an indie powerhouse, with Young co-producing records for the likes of Rose Tattoo, The Angels, John Paul Young and AC/DC, formed by his younger brothers Malcolm and Angus. Young and Vanda co-produced the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band's first five studio albums; 'High Voltage' (1975), 'T.N.T.' (1975), 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap' (1976), 'Let There Be Rock' (1977) and 'Powerage' (1978). Young also co-produced the 1978 live LP 'If You Want Blood You've Got It'. Young and Vanda produced the bands 1988's album, 'Blow Up Your Video' and Young would go on to solo produce one more AC/DC album, 'Stiff Upper Lip' (2000).
