Mrs. Mary Purcifull Standish, wife of Orsemus Standish, died at her home Saturday, April 4, aged 69 years. Mrs. Standish was born in Wethersfield, April 16th, 1824, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Purcifull. She was a loving wife, kind and devoted mother and grandmother, leaving a vacancy in the home which never can be filled. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and 4 children: Mrs. Seymour Bush, of Silver Springs; Mrs. Lettie VanLiew, of Wyoming; Mrs. Frank Fluker and Adelbert Standish, of this place, and 4 sisters and 1 brother; Mrs. Celia Handyside of Perry; Mrs. Ella Lake, of Pincoming, Mich.; Elizabeth Tamphor and Mrs. Kate Morton, of Saginaw, Mich., and George Purcifull of Wethersfield. The funeral was held at the house, Tuesday, April 7th, at half past eleven o'clock. Rev. J.B. Smallwood, officiating, with interment at Warsaw cemetery, and many were the beautiful floral offerings.
