OMAHA — David Henry Zimmerman, 70, of Blair died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha.
A private celebration of life for family was Tuesday. Burial will be later with military honors.
Cremation was chosen. Braman Mortuary of Omaha is assisting the family.
He was born July 31, 1947, in Lexington. He was the son of Henry and Maxine (Chandler) Zimmerman and later stepfather Wayne Johnston of Kearney.
Survivors include his children, Douglas of Mason City, Iowa, Wallace of Spring, Texas, and Melinda Woodward of Plymouth, Iowa; sisters, Karen Novotne of Gibbon, Sue Treffer of Kearney and Joan Mansfield of Dacono, Colo.; six grandchildren; ex-wife, Eve Zimmerman of Mason City; and special friend, Jan Cline of Blair.
