Obituary:
Simeon Floyd Randolph was born in Springfield, Robertson County, Tennessee on February 7,1863, to George W. & Paralee P.(Walton) Randolph. He departed this life January 26,1947 at the age of 83 years 11 months and 19 days.
After finishing his education in Tennessee and Kentucky he later moved to Harper County, Kansas where he was united in Marriage to Miss Jennie Brooks March 28,1885. Following their marriage they lived in Harper Kansas until 1893, Mr. Randolph came to Oklahoma in the opening of the Cherokee Strip and made homestead entry 2 1/2 miles northeast of Jet, where his family soon followed going through many hardships as many did in those days, but soon proved to be a very sucessful farmer and was President of the Farmers Bank at Jet for some time and later was in the Real Estate and Insurance business until his declining health did not permit him to do so.
When a young man he professed his faith in Christ and united with the Baptist Church in Harper Kansas.
Besides one brother he leaves 3 sons, Dessan S. and Wm. of Jet and Simeon L. of Pratt, Kansas and one daughter, Mrs. C.C (Mollie) Carson of Sapulpa, also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His eldest daughter Flora, passed away January 2, 1930 and his wife, Jennie passed away March 26,1943.
