Vada Ramsey, 95, a former South Webster resident, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 1996, at Country Manor Rest Home, in Lebanon, Ohio. A daughter of the late Columbia Hatfield Farley, and Lewis Farley, she was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Portsmouth. She was a direct descendant of William Anderson "Devil Anse" Hatfield of West Virginia. Preceded in death in 1970 by her husband Sadie Ramsy, whom she married 02/08/1918, in Greenup County, Ky, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Dean Ramsey of Dayton, and Dane and Dot Ramsey of South Webster, two daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and John Vint of Lebanon and Eileen and Millard McCoy of Dayton, a sister, Shirley McGlone of New Boston, 25 grandchildren, 61 g-grandchildren, and 30 gg-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Carl Ramsey, and Sadie Ramsey Jr, daughter a grandson, two brothers and two sisters. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at D W Davis Funeral Home, with Rev William Walker officiating, and interment in South Webster Cemetery.
