George Wunder was born on 12 June 1871, in Baltimore County, Maryland, the son of Friedrich Wunder, the owner of F. Wunder’s Brewery, and Anna Marie Hartmann Wunder. This was Anna Marie Hartmann's second marriage.
In 1848, Anna Marie Hartmann had married Johann Baier, the owner of Baier’s Brewery, and they had had eight children. Their eldest daughter, Anna Marie Baier, married Jacob Weifforth, and after Jacob Weifforth passed away untimely, she married Martin Frederick Pförtner. Paul and Anna Baier's youngest daughter, Mary Baier, married Adam Becker. So George Wunder was the youngest child of Anna Marie Hartmann Wunder, half brother to the eight Baier children, and brother-in-law to Jacob Weifforth and Adam Becker.

On 5 July 1891, George Wunder of Baltimore, Maryland, son of Fred & Anna Maria Wunder, and Barbara Kuegal, of Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of Conrad & Margaretha Kuegal were married by the Rev. Henry L. DIED SMOKING A CIGARETTE
George Wunder Had Heart Trouble and Fell From Chair.
George Wunder, 35 years old, died suddenly at his home, 404 Third street, Canton, yesterday morning.
Mr. Wunder arose at 6 o'clock, and was sitting on a chair in his room smoking a cigarette when suddenly he dropped to the floor. He died a few minutes later.
Justice Dunnigan, as coroner, rendered a certificate of death from heart failure. Mr. Wunder is survived by a widow and eight children. - Newspapers.com; Baltimore Sun Newspaper, Baltimore, Maryland; Thursday, 28 June 1906; Page 7.

The staff at Baltimore Cemetery said that their records show that George Wunder, who died at the age of 35 years, was buried in Center Section # 3, Lot 134, in Grave 3, on 29 June 1906.
Also buried in Lot 134: George Wunder's brothers-in-law, Jacob Weifforth, buried in Grave 1, on 23 March 1874, and Adam Becker, buried in Grave 2, on 19 May 1896.
