Soldier's Funeral Friday Evening
Body of Jackson D. Heminger, Killed in Army Accident, To Arrive Friday
Funeral arrangements were completed today for Jackson D. Hemminger of the Butler road, who died Wednesday morning at 3:50 o'clock in the military hospital at Fort Bragg, N.C., as the result of injuries sustained Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in a motor accident.
The body will arrive in this city Friday morning and will be taken to the Joseph B. Leyde mortuary, Highland at Winter, where friends may call Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 o'clock. Funeral services are to be conducted at the mortuary Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock.
On Saturday, at noon, the funeral party will leave for Curllsville, Pa., where further services are to be conducted in Grace Reformed church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be conducted by Rev. C.R. Thayer, Third United Presbyterian Church pastor. Interment will be in Churchville cemetery.
Heminger, who enlisted in the United States Army on March 19 of this year, was born in South Bend, Ind., on August 28, 1916, son of John D. and Carrie Hartman Heminger. He was a member of the Third U.P. church.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Rodgers Heminger, to whom he was married on September 20, 1941, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Heminger, Butler road; two brothers, Wayne of New Castle, Kenneth of Cleveland, and one sister, Mrs. Leonard B. Wilder of Berea, Ohio.
