Mr. William James Mylecharene, who was
well known in wool trade throughout the
State, died in a private hospital at Hornsby
yesterday morning at the age of 59 years.
His father was a founder of Schute, Bell and
Co., and Mr. Mylecharane was a director of the firm at the time of his death.
Mr. Mylecharane was born in the Young district in 1878. He attended Fort-street
High School, and, 44 years ago, began his
business career with Goldsbrough Mort and
Co., Ltd. He entered the service of Schute,
Bell and Co., 30 years ago, at the inception
of the firm. When his father died, more
than 10 years ago, he was appointed a director
and the firm's wool expert. In 1906 he mar-
ried Miss White, of Merrinbindanyah Station, Bethungra.
Mr. Mylecharane, who had been ill for
about four months, is survived by his wife,
three sons, and five daughters. His home
was in Hampden-road, Pennant Hills.
The funeral cortege will leave Wood Cof-
fin's mortuary chapel at 3 p.m. to-day for
the Field of Mars cemetery.

The death of Mr. William James Mylecharane, of Pennant Hills, occurred early
today at a private hospital at Hornsby. Mr. Mylecharane. who had been connected with the Sydney wool trade from boyhood, was well known amongst the pastoralists of this State. He had been associated with Goldsbrough, Mort and Co., Ltd., and during the past 30 years with Schute, Beil and Co., Ltd., with which he was a director since the death of his father.
