Emma Sophia (Dahlberg) Schreiber was born January 20, 1897, in Bellingham WA, to Alfred and Anna (Stevenson) Dahlberg. She was one of 10 living children (Anna, John, Carl, Oscar, Selma, Theodore, Hilda, Tilda and Lilly) who all preceded her in death.
She married Adolph Schreiber on December 24, 1924 in Ferndale, WA. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1935 in a logging accident in Kendall, WA. After sucessfully moving a team of horses from the path of a falling tree in Kendall WA, Adolph, 38, who was employed in clearing a road onto a logging camp on the Mt. Baker Highway, above Deming, was struck in the head and killed by a piece of the tree.
After the death of Adolph, she moved down to Ferndale with her daughters to be close to her family. She worked at the Bellingham Furniture Factory and Kelly-Farquhar Cannery.
Emma had two daughters: Lillian (Schreiber) Lancaster and Gloria (Schreiber) Leque.
