Larue Smith Johnson, age 65, died at home on Febuary 26, 2007. A native of Peach County, Georgia she moved to Baldwin County in 1976 after the death of her husband, Harrell Ross Sessions. She lost her only son, Harrell Ross Sessions, Jr. May 24, 1978 in a tragic automobile accident. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Irvin Smith, her mother, Omie Mae Collins Smith, her brother, Thomas Smith, and her sister, Mildred Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Jack G. Johnson of Milledgevile; daughters, Debra Lajeune Fincher of Barnesville, Cindy Brookins of Milledgeville, Pattie Dennis of Macon, Becky Harrington of Putnam County and Sarah Scott of Lynchburg, VA; a son, David M. Johnson of Milledgeville; sister, Joyce Sweat of Macon; two brothers, Larry Smith of Milledgeville and Lamon "Buddy" Smith of Kennesaw. Grandchildren, Jennifer Herringdine and Blake Harrington of Putnam County, Joey Young, David Herringdine, Ryan Ivey, Christopher Ivey, Matthew Johnson, Lauren Johnson of Milledgeville, Zackery Dennis of Macon, Austin Fincher of Barnesville, Josh Fincher of Yatesville, Brittney Jones, Katlyn Jones, Lacey Scott and Cole Scott of Lynchburg, VA.
