ASTE CARMELO passed away in Alameda at the age of 78. Mr. Aste is survived by his wife of 38 years Maria Aste. He is also survived by his son Paul Joseph Aste, his daughters Anna Maria Singman-Aste and Antonella Vittoria Aste. Grandfather of Sabrina Vittoria Singman-Aste and Lily Rae Singman-Aste. Brother of Giuseppaina Puddu-Aste. He is preceeded in death by his brother Paul Aste. Carmelo enjoyed soccer, boxing and cooking. He was employed by the Marine Cooks and Stewards Union for over 20 years. A native of Italy. Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas on Wednesday Aug. 1, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. at Greer Family Mortuary, 2694 Blanding Avenue, Alameda. Visitation on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M.
