Curtis "Curt" Moats, 45, of Sullivan, IL, died March 28, 2005, at Barnes-Jewis Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Moats was born Feb. 7, 1960, in Flora, the son of Paul and Iva Atchison Moats. He married Laura Trueblood Oct. 10, 1998 in Dalton City.

He was a millwright/construction worker, a member of Sullivan Southern Baptist Church, and a former member of the National Guard.

He enjoyed being with his family, sports, and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife; his mother; a son, Joshua Moats; two daughters, Kelly and Caitlin Moats; six brothers, Terry, Rus, Randy Moats, Jason, Everett, and Terrance Bissey; four sisters, Paula Griffith, Mary Sanders, Paula Young, Mindy Hackman; special friend, Robin Woolever; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Prededing him in death were his father and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services were held at Frank and Bright Funeral Home with burial in Rusk Cemetery in rural Clay City.

Memorials may be made to his children.
