She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Wayne Allen Ailey; parents, Alex and Zola Ramsey; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Irene Ailey; grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley Lowe; 4 sisters; and 6 brothers.
Elene is survived by her daughters, Marie Ailey Hancock and husband, Melton, of Dandridge, TN, Sue Ailey Saulmon and husband, Tom, of Morganton, NC, Kay Ailey DeVore and husband, Byron, of Union Grove, NC; grandchildren, Heather Barnette and husband, Eddie, Allison Cline, Brooke Tom and husband, Evie, Carrie Parris and husband, Daniel, Amanda Lowe, Cullen DeVore, and Brian Cloer; great-grandchildren, Jayme (Andrew), Kaitlyn (Carlos), and Dylan Barnette, Tyler Ketchie, Bryson Cline, Brianna Tom, Braden and Hailey Parris, Ean and Kailey Cloer; great-great-grandchildren, Rylee and Tucker Wireman, and Emma Solis; sister, Polly Manning and husband, Ray; brother, Ralph Ramsey and wife, Sharon; 6 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; her faithful companions and fur babies, Sally and Sadie.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, August 9th with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Rev. Ben Whitted will be officiating. Interment and graveside service will be held 11 AM Thursday at Allen Cemetery.
