The entire community sincerely mourns the death of one of it most respected and beloved residents, Mrs. Henry Rohwer, which occurred at 2 o’clock p.m. June 15, at Swedish Miss(??) Hospital. Mrs. Rohwer had been a sufferer for more than a year with a painful ear affection, which a minor operation only temporarily relieved. She was taken to the hospital about two weeks ago and an operation performed, and from which she apparently was recovering nicely. But Friday night her condition became alarming, and Saturday afternoon another operation was performed, from which she never regained consciousness.
Mrs. Rohwer was born near Christiana, Norway, March 8, 1856, and came to Nebraska in 1894. She was employed by Mrs. Steen at Blair for seven years, and was engaged as landlady at the Herman Busch Hotel in Bennington for several years. She then took a position as housekeeper on the Rohwer farm in Fort Calhoun township, and was married to Henry Rohwer April 13, 1906. She and her husband moved to Fort Calhoun in March 1920.
Besides her husband she leaves two brothers in this country, Lars Olsen, at Newman Grove, Nebr., and Osten Olsen at Newell S. Dk.; and one sister and one brother at Copenhagen, Denmark.
Mrs. Rohwer was a true wife and helpmate, a real neighbor and friend and always willing and ready to help where help was needed. Her kindly and genial presence will indeed be missed by all in this community, which extends heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved husband.
The funeral will be held at the Presbyterian Church this afternoon, conducted by Rev. Kurtz.

The funeral services for Mrs. Henry Rohwer, held at the Presbyterian church last Thursday afternoon, were attended by an audience that filled the church to overflowing, probably a hundred people being unable to gain admission to the services. Rev. Kurtz delivered a short but impressive fitting sermon. The mass of beautiful flowers testifies to the esteem in which Mrs. Rohwer was held. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun cemetery.

The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow, Thursday afternoon, at the Presbyterian church in Ft. Calhoun, Rev. Luther Kurtz officiating. Anna Olson was born near Christiana, Norway, March 8th, 1862, so was just past 63 years of age. She came to this country with two brothers and was married to Henry J. Rohwer April 13th, 1906. There were no children. She is survived by her husband; a brother, Louis Olson, of Newman Grove, Nebraska; Osten Olson of Newell, S. D., and a brother and sister in Copenhagen.
