Services For Mrs. Lorsch Were Held Tues.
Mrs. Fritz (Martha) Lorsch died December 27th at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha at the age of 80 years.
The 80 year old Mrs. Lorsch was stricken ill on Christmas Day. The Blair Rescue Squad was called to take her to the Hospital. She was later transferred to and Omaha Hospital.
She was born April 20, 1889 in Germany to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Klabunde and came to the United States with her parents when a small child. They settled in Washington County where she lived all her life.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Asmus (Esther) Wiese of Blair, Mrs. George (Ella) Charron of Omaha; 1 son, Walter of Blair; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Walther and Alfred Klabunde of Minnesota; 6 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Jensen, Mrs. Martin Streich, Mrs. Bertha Wiese, Mrs. Elsie Plath all of Minnesota, Mrs. Anna Muntefening of South Dakota and Mrs. Ella Schwartz of Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fritz, one daughter Emma and one great-grandson, and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun with the Rev. Keith Sackett officiating. The Sievers Mortuary was in charge of arrangements and burial was in the Ft. Calhoun Cemetery.
Pallbearers were five grandsons, Larry Charron, John Baker, Jr., and Ronald Wiese, all of Omaha, Franklin Young and Richard Sederburg of Blair and a great-nephew, Jack Lorsch of Kennard.
