Fern Lorsch To Be Buried

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, at the First Baptist Church in Blair for Fern Lucy Lorsch, 86, of Blair who died April 12, 1983, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair after a short illness.

The Rev. Frank Thomas and the Rev. Gene Loftis will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Fern Lucy Lorsch was born in Herman on March 10, 1897, to George and Ruth Fletcher Loftis. She married Carl Lorsch in Fremont on April 21, 1937.

She was a longtime resident of Parkview Manor in Blair.

She was preceded by her husband, Carl, and one sister, Mrs. Art (Marjorie) Lorsch.

She is survived by three brothers, Freeman Loftis and Leonartd Loftis, both of Blair, and Floyd Loftis of Arlington; one sister, Mrs. Birdie Helen Lorsch, Blair; and nieces and nephews.

Three step-children, Hazel Anderson, Blair; Ruth Campbell, Bellevue; Ethel Leifert, Omaha, and Naomi Pierce of Brady, Tennessee also survive her.

Pallbearers will be Franklin Young, Layton Anderson, Joe Foster, Dick Sederburg, LeRoy Lorsch and Howard Loftis.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
