ARTHUR KAHNK PASSES AWAY AT AGE 64

Arthur Raymond Kahnk was born near Kennard, Nebraska, on April 15, 1915 to August and Lena Kahnk. He passed away May 29, 1979 at the age of 64 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha after a lingering illness.

He spent most of his boyhood days on a farm near Kennard. Went to Peaceful Hill School and Kennard high school.

As a young man he worked for several dairies in Omaha.

On September 18, 1940 he married Eunice Lund.

He served in the United States Army from August, 1943 to January 1946. Most of the the time was over seas.

In October 1946 a daughter Cheryl Marie was born.

He worked at Ford Motor Co. but the last 23 years was employed at Western Electric in Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents at an early age. Also 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Surviving are his wife Eunice, daughter Cheryl Downing. Son-in-law Richard and Grandson Scott of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Brothers, Louie Kahnk of Omaha, Harry Kahnk, Cedar Bluffs. Sisters Meta Martens, Fremont, Marie Taylor of Sacramento, California. Claire Bixby, Fulton, California and Mother-in-law Amanda Lund, Good Shepherd Home, Blair. Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
