Former County Man Buried at Fort Calhoun
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Sievers Mortuary in Fort Calhoun for Floyd Blankenfeld, of Berkley, California.
The Blankenfelds left Washington County about 40 years ago after spending some years farming in the Wranch School District, 10 miles south of Blair.
Mr. Blankenfeld died November 23 at Berkley at the age of 73. He was a member of the Alameda County Sr. Sheriff’s Association at the time of his death. He was also a high ranking Mason in the Berkley Lodge.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Marie Wells, of White River, Arizona and by a grandson, who resides in San Francisco. There are two sisters surviving. They are Mrs. Marie Christensen of Tekamah, Nebraska, and Mrs. Beatrice Shannon of Omaha.
Burial will be made in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
