In the Spring of 1852 he came to Clinton county and located on section 2, Essex Township. His home was in the woods and three hundred Indians were camped in the vicinity. They were frindly and gave no trouble.
December 25, 1846, Mr. Bryant and Miss Louisa Hollenbeck were united in marriage. She was born in N. Y., August 20, 1825, to Cornelius and Fannie Hollenbeck. To Mr. and Mrs. Bryant five children were born, only one living, John F., a daughter Emma L. died July 1889. She was the wife of of W. J. Morrison.
