"Chattanooga Times" 15 Jul 1988: Witt - Grace Allen, 81, of Chattanooga, formerly of Georgetown, Tenn., died Thursday in a local hospital. She was retired from Atlas Paper Co., and was the widow of William O. Witt. Survivors include two daughters, Pat Scaffa, Leonia, N.J., and Betty Hixson, Chattanooga: six sons, Mike Witt, Richmond, Va., Tony Witt, Viola, Tenn., Barney Witt, Chattanooga, Walter Witt, Harrison, Tenn., Harry Witt, Virginia and Douglas Witt, Georgetown, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Lorene Saulter, Couldersport, Pa.,; two stepsons, Gene Witt, Pennsylvania, and Bill Witt, Scottsdale, Ariz.; three sisters, Emma Evans and Minerva Green, both of Knoxville, Pauline Sively, San Antonio, Texas; Brother, Bill Allen, Georgetown, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Douglas Miller officiating. Burial will be in McDonald Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Chattanooga Guardian Chapel, East.
