She died Wednesday, June 27, 2001.
She was born April 16, 1917, in O'Donnell. She married C.F. "Thompy" Thompson on Dec. 25, 1935, in Lovington, N.M. He preceded her in death Sept. 16, 1999.
She was a homemaker and the first president of the Study Club in 1946. She was a Girl Scout leader, a Past Worthy Matron and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, James Guy of San Angelo; five daughters, Carole Edwards of O'Donnell, Sarah Masten of Shallowater, Jane Furlow and Tami Miller, both of Lubbock, and Joan Porter of Driftwood; two sisters, Ina Merle Harris of Wolfforth and Peggy Penn of Odessa; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
