Casualty of the Great War, John was a Captain with the 11th Battalion, Devonshire Regiment.
He was 38/39 and the son of the late Jonas Nelson Trayler and Elizabeth Trayler.He left a widow, Eunice Elizabeth Trayler [nee Sully]of Trewent, Wraxall, Bristol.They were married in Bridgwater,Somerset in 1908.

At the time of the 1911 census he lived at The Church House Lamphey, Pembrokesire and was a Managing Director.
