                         DEATHS
Bierly—
Mrs. Mary A. Bierly, 88, died at the home of her son, Clyde Bierly, on North 6th street Thursday morning, Feb. 1, 1951. Mrs. Bierly fell Sunday noon, injuring the right side of her head. She is survived by her son of the home, four brothers, Allen Bowesox of Reserve, Floyd Bowersox of Mifflinburg, Pa., Will Bowerson of Tonganoxie, Kans., Clem Bowersox of Dunlap, Ia.; one sister, Mrs. Ida Bair of Rebersberg, Pa.; several nieces, nephews.
    Funeral services will be held from the Evangelical United Brethren church at 3 o'clock Sunday, Feb. 4, 1951, with interment at the Mt. Hope cemetery.

Bierly—
Mary A. Bowersox, oldest child of Nathanial, Kate Bowersox, was born at Wolfe Store, Penn., on June 13, 1862, passed away at the home of her son, Clyde E. Bierly, Hiawatha, Kans., February 1, 1951, at the age of 88 years, 7 months, 19 days. She was united in marriage to Harvey N. Bierly December 25, 1882, at Bellefonte, Penn. She with her husband came to Kansas in March of 1893, making their home near Hiawatha. To this union one child, a son, was born. Mr. Bierly passed away in September of 1937. Mrs. Bierly was a faithful Christian and was regular in attending the services of her church. Her last Sunday in this life found her at the services of the church. She was a long time member of the Evangelical United Brethren church of Hiawatha. She will be greatly missed by the entire congregation. She loved her family, did all that she could to help in the home. Survivors are one son, Clyde E. Bierly of Hiawatha, Kans., four brothers, Allen Bowersox, Reserve, Kans.; Floyd Bowersox of Mifflinburg, Penn., Will Bowersox of Tonganoxie, Kans., Clem Bowersox of Dunlap, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Ida Bair of Rebersburg, Penn.; four grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
