Mr. Williams was born in Clarkesville, Georgia and moved to Gatlinburg in 1964. He was veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Williams was active in his community and served as a long time member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of Gatlinburg, Past President of Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce, Past President of Gatlinburg Lions Club and was a founder of Tennessee State Bank. He was a Hotel and Real Estate Developer (Clarion Inn & Suites of Gatlinburg, Sleep Inn & Suites of Gatlinburg).
He was preceded in death by his father Freeman Terrell Williams, Sr., mother Stella Watts Williams and brother Morris Williams.
Mr. Williams is survived by his Wife of 66 years, Mary A. Williams; Son & Daughter-in-law Terry & Kathy Williams, Grandchild Elizabeth & husband Jeffery Klick, Great Grandchildren Avery & Noel Klick, Grandchild Stephanie Bible, Great Grandchildren Jack Collier & Sam Faircloth, Grandchild Kris Bible & fiance Jody Bigham, Grandchild Dryse Bible & wife Nicole, Great Grandchild Dryse Bible, Jr.; Son David Williams, Grandchildren Jordan Williams, Spencer Williams and wife Chelsea, Great Grandchild Bailey; Son & Daughter-in-law Jack & JoAnne Williams; Son & Daughter-in-law Jim & Danna Williams, Grandchild Morgan Williams, Grandchild Duncan Williams & fiance Julie Rowland, Grandchild Cameron Williams, Grandchild Hayden Williams; Sister-in-law Caroline Williams; Brother-in-law Doug Batson & wife Sue; Many nieces & nephews; and His faithful dog Riley.
