She had been in failing health for two years, and was bedfast for the last three days. Her death was due to a complication of diseases incident to her advanced age. As Miss Anna Wilke, whe was born on June 29, 1849 at Zwienik, Poland and came to the United States when she was 25 years of age. She came directly to Columbus, and since that time made her home continuously in Platte county. They spent five years there, then moved to a farm east of Columbus where they resided for two years. At that time they moved to Columbus, and since then Mrs. Brigg made her home here. Mr. Brigg passed away in January, 1896. Other than occasional visits to her daughter, Mrs. Victoria Skorupa, who resides south of Duncan in Polk county, Mrs. Brigg has never been outside of the county since coming to Columbus. She was an active and devout member of St. Anthony's Catholic church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Boettcher and Mrs. Skorupa; one son, Charles Brigg, of Arvada, Wyo; three step daughters, Mrs. Martin Nosal, of Barnsville, Minn., Mrs. Mary Czapla, of Watkins Glen, N. Y., and Ven. Sr. M. Eleutheria of St. Joseph's hospital, Omaha, and six grandchildren. Three sons, Frank, Anton and Joseph preceded her in death, the latter two dying in infancy.
