Claude A. Boggs, 90

Claude A. Boggs, 90, of Blair, died Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 23, at Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Interment will be at the Craig Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by American Legion Post #12 and VFW Post # 5543.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 22, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, one hour prior to services.

Claude A. Boggs was born May 9, 1910, to Carl and Bessie (Lewellen) Boggs in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

On August 7, 1936, he married Josie M. Bagley in Harrison Arkansas.

Mr. Boggs was a World War II veteran and drove a truck for the Art Williams Trucking Company in Tekamah. Mr. Boggs, formerly of Craig had lived in Blair since January.

He is survived by his two sons, Robert Boggs of Roseburg, Oregon and Wayne Boggs of Blair; three daughters, Peggy Jean Barlow of Rancho Cucamonga, California, Martha Wickline of Auburn, Washington, and Joyce Hudson of Blair; a brother, James Boggs of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a sister Ruby Ueding of South Sioux City; thirteen grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant son, three brothers, and a sister.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah was in charge of arrangements.
