He was born Dec. 3, 1903, at Morton, a son of Samuel and Josephine Eicher Claudin. He married Marie Hohimer Sept. 9, 1948, at Springfield. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, William L., Princeton, Wis.; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Norton, Pekin; and three sisters, Mrs. Della Egelston, Sunnyvale, Calif.; Mrs. Esther Graze, Peoria, and Mrs. Irene Stewart, Bartonville.
Five brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
He had been a foreman for Keystone Consolidated Industries, and later worked as a carpenter for the Peoria Park District. He retired in 1967.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
