Scottie P. Smith, of the Methodist faith, went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2017.
She was a 35 year employee of Wal-Mart, and was a person who believed in helping others in need.
She was preceded in death by her father Gordon Douglas.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Smith, of Parrottsville; her loving son, Heath, of the home; her mother, Vernie Douglas, of Bybee; her aunts, Betty (Joe) Killion, of Mohawk, Carolyn Bettis, of Greeneville, Shirley Steppe, of Parrottsville, Joann Jones, of Newport, Bobby Jean Satterfield, of Morristown; uncle, Aubrey Douglas, of Morristown; cousins, Mike Reed, Mark Reed, Jessica Witt, Earlene Brown, Darlene Elkins; and several other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Friday, May 26, 2017 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Don Watkins officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 27, 2017 in Luther Memorial Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made toward final expenses.
