MARGARET ESTEY RITES SATURDAY
Funeral services for Margaret Estey have been set for Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Waggener & Campbell chapel with Dr. Mervyn Moss of the Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will follow in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Estey died Tuesday at the age of 85 years.
Mrs. Estey came to the Flathead in 1899 and lived on the East Lake Shore until 1921 when she moved to Kalispell. She and her sister, Mrs. J. C. Wood, planted the first cherries on the East Lake Shore shortly after coming here. She was the first teacher at Woods Bay school. She is survived by son Donald Estey of Kalispell and one sister, Mrs. Marian Katherine Grant of Missoula. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Waggener & Campbell Funeral Home.
