Charles W. Goshorn, 93, of Chambersburg, died Monday, February 5, 2007, at the Quincy Retirement Community, Quincy, Pa. His wife, Helen C. (Banks) Goshorn, died in 1997. Born May 9, 1913, in Blairs Mills, Pa., he was a son of the late Ulysses Grant and Bessie College Goshorn. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a mechanic, then supervisor at the Letterkenny Army Depot. He was a member for over 50 years of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Chambersburg. He was a member of the George Washington Lodge 143 F & AM, Chambersburg, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and the Zembo Shriners of Harrisburg, Pa., and a lifetime member of the Charles Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, Chambersburg.

Surviving is a daughter, Sally North of Chambersburg; two grandsons, Christopher D. North and Ryan M. North, both of Chambersburg; two great-grandchildren, Tucker D. and Summer A. North of Chambersburg; a brother, John T. Goshorn of Asheville, N.C.; a devoted niece, Sara A. Hockenberry of Waynesboro, Pa.; and a special nephew, Allen Lingenfelter of Altoona, Pa., as well as several other nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
