Funeral services for Delmar W. Duncan, 87, will be at 4 p.m. today in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Horace Abbott, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mr. Duncan died at 8:25 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2000, in Hi-Plains Hospital in Hale Center.
He was born Nov. 6, 1912, in Cross Plains. He moved to Plainview at a young age and served with the U.S. Navy in World War II. He worked at Pioneer Drilling Co., retiring in 1980.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Elks Lodge and American Legion.
On March 12, 1934, he married Dorothy Spann in Guymon, Okla. She died Oct. 15, 1993.
Survivors include four daughters, Darla Jones-Comer of Plainview, Patsey Hoermann of Andrews, Delmarie Davis and Debby Ketchersid, both of Lubbock; a sister, Lavern Wachob of Colorado City, Colo.; 12 grandchildren, including Shana Jones Gonzales of Plainview; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family suggests memorials to VistaCare Family Hospice, 4418 Olton Road.
