His will is dated 1 Nov 1739 
probated 12 Mar 1744.
 
1739, 1 Nov: Gawin CORBIN of Stratton Major Parish, King & Queen Co., VA, wrote his will, proved 12 Feb 1744, King & Queen Co., VA. He conveyed to his son Richard CORBIN his land in King & Queen Co.; to his son Gawin CORBIN his land in Westmoreland, Lancaster, King George and
Prince William Cos., and every other holding in that part of VA called the Northern Neck, and 6000 acres in
Spotsylvania Co.. He gave to his son John CORBIN the land at Portobacco in Essex Co. and many acres in Spotsylvania Co. He gave to his daughters Fanny BUSHROD, Joanna TUCKER, Alice NEEDLER and daughter ALLERTON liberal amounts of money and household goods. His son Gawin, the youngest, was a pet and was left to the guardianship of his sons-in-law, William BASSETT, Benjamin NEEDLER, Robert TUCKER, and his son Richard CORBIN, and he directed that Mr. CHRISTIALL, a tutor, should complete his education. The marriage contract
of his oldest son Richard, providing 50 negroes, was confirmed. (4) Gawin CORBIN, by his will, devised to his son Gawin CORBIN "the land of my brother, the late Mr. Thomas CORBIN." Left 3 sons and 4 daughters. (8a)
Names my son Richard CORBIN, who married Betty, daughter of Col. John TAYLOE; to son Gawin CORBIN all lands lying in Westmoreland, Lancaster, King George and Prince William Counties; also 6,000 acres in the county
of Spotsylvania; brother, late Mr. Thomas CORBIN; to Gawin the following negroes which were given to his mother by her father William BASSETT, Esq.; to son Richard lands in King & Queen and Middlesex and 6,000 acres in Spotsylvania; tracts in Carolina & Morecox in the south end of Essex;
to son John land called Portobago; dau. Joanna TUCKER; dau. Alice NEEDLER my house and 4 lots in Williamsburg, which I bought of Francis TYLER and lie adjoining the Governor's Pasture and my Lady RANDOLPH's stable; dau. ALLERTON.

 A codicil to his will names sons and sons-in-law Richard CORBIN, Benjamin NEEDLER, Gawin CORBIN, when he arrives at age; Robert TUCKER and brother-in-law Wm. BASSETT, Esq.

 A second codicil to his will reads: "I give my four white men servants to my son Gawin; & Matthew CUE coachman I give to my son John, but as my son John will not be a house keeper for some years, if his brother Richard CORBIN will yearly so long as their servitude continues then the said Gawin's leather and make shoes for all his people and himself if required & make all his negroes clothes, then I give the said 3 white servants to my son Richard CORBIN."
